Philippine Rangers used these bunkers--went down about 16 feet, a great place to keep their San Miguel Beer from the Nay Ninh heat. I enjoyed a few!!

I traveled along the road to Tay Ninh several times and I have a buddy who was stationed there in 1969.

Yes, the 175th Outlaws from Vinh Long supported the 196th Lt.Inf Brigade. I took this picture with a Kodak Instamatic camera on Jan 1 1967.

We escourted the supply convoys from Saigon to Tay Ninh 66-67, B Trp, 3/4 Cav. 25th Div. We secured the airstrip the day the 196th landed.

Tay Ninh 4/67-10/68, excellent shot of the Black Virgin- I enjoyed a few Sam Migual's with the men for the 1st Phil-Cav as well.

A high school friend CPL Robert (Bobby) Stockard was KIA at Tay Ninh. He was light vehicle drive and dies 12/17/1968, there. If any of his Viet Nam friends are out there. Please email me at jhshelton1@comcast.net. His Mom would love to know.,

The 25th division started the base of Tay ninh. We came by boat,and took us 29 days from Boston .

Wow! Was stationed in Tay Ninh compound may 1968-Dec 1969. was in the 587th signal Company and made one trip by Helicopter to that mountain. My Commanding Officer was from my home town of Marshall, Tx.
